I was 23 years old when I first got pregnant. Since I don't know the first thing about babies and stuff, I ordered a book from Reader's Digest - Mothercare Book:0-10. Mothercare is actually a brand name for baby things and kid stuff now but back in the early 80's it was just a book for me. The book has been a tremendous help for me. Part One is headed as PREPARATION which includes topics such as: Are you pregnant?; Health of the unborn child; antenatal care; Staying at your best; Caring for your baby; Problems during pregnancy; choosing the right diet and The right support. The book was my baby
bible. It saved me from being a complete "fool". Funny how I read that book over and over again. There were hints on how to ease body strain and like a diligent student, I followed all that the book said.
