The California Supreme Court took a complete turn-about and has ruled equal opportunities to members of the third sex. Simply put, the ban on gay marriages is now lifted in the state of California. The judges believe that all residents of the great state should be treated equally, legally, getting married included.
In line with this, Ellen DeGeneres, 50, has announced on her May 16 show that she and partner Portia de Rossi, 35, will tie the knot in June this year. According to sources ‘Portia demanded that Ellen marry her.’ and this was right after the Oscars. There's talk that Ellen and Portia are really into a big-grand-wedding.
What can I say? I like Ellen. She is simple, down to earth and funny. I like Portia for she is pretty and is quite a talented actress. But something is not right. Last I read and heard, God created Eve for Adam and not for Agnes.

I think this is one of the things we would disagree on Lena. Hehe :)
ReplyDeleteno problem dude! we have to disagree sometime. =)
ReplyDeleteLena, I have to say that I don't condone the same sex option, but I have to say that I somewhat disagree. Despite the thought that marriage is a Christian principle, its not.
ReplyDeleteAll versions of human society rely on marriage, and I suspect that when you sit down to look at some points, you might change your mind...or you won't.
I wrote a little something on the Court's decision. Come on by my blog to see what I had to say.

ah, i don't wanna judge them. give them what they want,after-all it's their life.all i can say is that: morality is changing as society is changing. But oh, dearie, this is just shocking at first, i mean legalizing marriage for both sexes, but that's only at first. society get used to it! and to change the society is to kill all species and made a new breed.and that's very difficult to do!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree how pretty Portia is(ah, we have the same name, my golly!!!). But Ellen is pretty, too!
ReplyDeleteHey...
ReplyDeleteThere's been a lot of opinions on this one and I better keep mine to myself...hahaha.
I'm going off topic here. But do you remember Ms. Marlene Agustin? She used to teach sa MS before, during and after my stint there. Anyway, she has the big C for 8 years or more na. Not sure really sure what happened but she's been fighting all those years. Unfortunately, it turned for the worse as of lately. It's Stage 4 na daw. I got a call this AM from a former MS teacher who is here in the US letting me know about it.
Thought I'd let you know para mapasama sa prayers.
Thanks...
Juliana btw, happy weekend.
Oo nga Ms Marlene had the cancer for about 8 years na nga. She even had hers way before Mrs. Limon pero mas nagtagal pa sya. She continued for working at MS teaching at first tapos she did office works na lang when it became too taxing for her going up and down daw the stairs.
ReplyDeleteI've only been to her house a couple of times so di ko ma remember kung san sya dyan sa Cavite.
Her son Ramil is now married with a little girl of his own. According to Mr. Sonny Damasco he also had some kind of a surgery just recently so sabay sabay ang health crisis nila.
Hay buhay....we can't really tell kung ano ba talaga...
Thanks for the hop...hope your weekend is going well...
