Traveling with a toddler is simpler than traveling with a baby. I cannot reconcile to put my baby on a
baby carrier or seat strapped at the back seat of a car. What if some demented-out-of-control driver decided to rear end me? Yeah. I know. I am the demented one. If you have a small child, a car seat is in the list of a must acquire.

A baby or young child should always travel in the back seat of a car. You put his life at risk if you hold him or place him on your lap in the front seat of a car. I was driving a long a busy main road when I noticed a motorbike to my left. A dad was driving the motorcycle. In his front, a child of about 3-4 years old was straddled. At his back, his wife was astride - her left hand holding on to her husband's waist, her right arm holding an infant swaddled in a blanket. I almost hit the car in front of me from the shock that image brought.

Buying car seats is no longer a problem these days. There are a variety of car seats and carriers available at every mall. Some online stores specializing in baby stuff also carry the product. There are car seats that come in a travel system for babies: a package of stroller, carry cot and car seat. Convertible car seats for older kids are also in demand. I should know. I got one for Ethan and it sure made traveling with him easier and safer.
