Motorcycle Affair

Back in the 60's my father had a scooter. It was compact and had a space in front where my brother and I could stand while papa drives. I thought the scooter was weird for it's not like the regular motorcycle bike being driven about by others in our town. Years later, I learned that that weird scooter was a Vespa! The scooter was gone by then. The weird scooter was traded for a big great 400 CC motorcycle by my papa. It was the mid 70's by this time and the first gas shortage ever was ongoing. To save on gas, papa used to fetch me from school in his big bad bike. When it rained, woe on me. I had to endure wearing raincoat similar to the one used by Biyo, the neighborhood's friendly tricycle man. When I got married, I thought my love affair with a motorbike would be over. Wrong.
