Entrecard Issue Out Warning

Entrecard users: be warned! EC is having a field day dropping all blogs that are not in English. One of my online buddies whose blog is in Hungarian was dropped without much ado by EC. This afternoon I received an email from EC informing all Entrecard members that effective July 1, 2008, Entrecard will be purging from its system the accounts of all members currently operating "Quick Drop Pages". EC admin said they now have a massive list of all violators.

EC admin said the quick-drop pages devalue the essence of EC by motivating members to drop on these quick-loading pages to get credits. Quality blogs are overlooked this way. I tried power dropping for a day or two but found them ineffective since the blogs on the list do not return visits. I find dropping on the list in my inbox the most effective.

I was worried that I too might be penalized so I wrote support. Here is my email.

I do not have a quick-drop page nor do i drop on them. Many find them useless as the urls on the quick drop pages do not return your drop. I have seen my link in some sites that have acknowledged me as one of their loyal droppers. Are those type of links not allowed too? If not, I am powerless to do anything about it.

After about 5 minutes, I received reply from EC support. Here it is.

No that's fine. Don't worry. The only people who have anything to worry about are the people creating the quick drop pages. We wouldn't dare touch your fine blog!
