It's Holy Tuesday and while the rest of the world is going about their daily business, most of the Philippines is at a standstill in observance of the Holy Week. My view of Holy Week has changed over the years. While still at a very young age, I was prompted not to make noise during Holy Week, especially on Good Friday, because God is dying and come 3:00,P.M., is dead. That train of thought confused me a lot because at a very young age I was taught in Sunday School that we have an everlasting Father of a God, that was crucified then risen from the dead. So how can that same God die every year? I became older and later learned that the "dead God" thingy was just a ploy to shut me up back then. Holy Week is a time to reconnect to God.

After my prayer last night, I was still thinking of ways to earn the extra money I need for my medications. I computed the amount I needed and it sums up to almost 12,000 pesos a month. With no online jobs in the offing, I have to trust God more to provide for my needs. So that was that.

  1. I will also pray for you :) prayer warriors are the best.

as for adsense..I lost my interest since I THINK NO CLICKS the ads :) but hey, GOD IS GOOD.

  2. I can't 'feel' Holy Week here at all.

    Kamusta na?

Ako eto galing na sa doktor. Hyperthyroid and goiter ang sintensya sa akin. Hopefully I'll start to feel better ASAP.

    Have a relaxed Holy week....

  3. ang Holy Week dito, walan akong ma-feel. the only good thing is that Wall Street is close on Friday pero it's not a bank holiday dito. sobrang baliktad and isip nila, kasi Easter Sunday lang ang na-observe dito.

oo nga, sarap mag-imagine 'no? same goes through with my adsense, I have reinstated them sa blogs ko a few months ago, nakatengga sa $60 for now.

    have a blessed holy week!

  5. I disagree that adsense sucks! Maybe you should try it? Chitika is also nice, I hope you get your medications in some way!

    I love your site btw!

  6. Same with Mommy J and manang Juliana, I also can't feel holy week here. Everybody's still very busy at work and it's only on Easter Sunday that is big here and that's it.

Anyway, just being curious, how long will you be taking your meds? I know it's hard knowing how expensive your medications are. We are still praying for you Lena.

  7. @ renz: thanks renz. Yes, the Lord is really good. I just have to trust him more. Thanks for the prayers.

@ huling: i hope you don't experience the hot and cold flashes that is associated with hyperthyroidism. chill!

@ juliana: oh well, ay least no work on Good Friday. ay nako, i really wonder how others earn thousands if $ in ads.

@ cherry: sorry ha. i accidentally deleted your comment. =) (wink)

@ colon health: thanks. will have a look at chikita.

@ debbie: thanks for the continued prayers. at my last doctor's appointment he said I have to take all the meds for a month then we'll see. daughter #1 said if my blood work is okay, i'd be gradually taken off some drugs but the rest is for life.
