Malaysian Airline Flight MH370 - What's the Hush-Hush?

Malaysian Airline flight MH370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing failed to reach its destination on Saturday, March 9, 2014. The Boeing 777 carried 239 passengers and crew. The plane literally "vanished" as the plane did not make a distress  before being "lost".

Much speculations are a buzz regarding this flight. Aside from the failure of the captain to send out a distress signal,. there were no signs of an airplane crash. There were a couple of debris and an oil slick found near the alleged crash site, and that's about it. There are speculations that the plane turn around right after passing Vietnam. Another speculation is that the plane could have been hijacked as there were at least 4 stolen passports carried by 4 passengers of the flight. Another speculation was the disintegration of the plane at 35,000 feet.

What's strange is that some relatives of the passengers tried to called their mobile phones and  they rang! Unfortunately, the calls were left unattended. What's happening? Why the mystery?

Let us all pray for the safety of the passengers of MAS flight MH370.

Lea Salonga and the Pacman in Metro Magazine

I used to subscribe to a lot of magazines before but subscription rates now ran into thousands of precious money that I stopped. What I do now is just buy magazines on occasions. At the checkout counter at the grocery the other day, I saw a magazine that captivated me. The cover was Lea Salonga and I just can't stop wondering who did her make-up for it was pretty fantastic - natural looking but her features were emphasized. I bough the magazine hoping that the make-up artist would be mentioned in the article pertaining to her.

I was skimming through the pages when another the picture almost gave me cardiac arrest. I thought I must be mistaken but no I was not! The Gap-boy-model-look is none other than Manny Pacquiao. He is in the list top 20 Global Pinoys and holds the 57th place in the top 100 Celebrities world wide. Forbes reports that the Pacman is $40 M rich which roughly translates to 2,000,000,000 precious Philippine pesos. Is that right, nine zeros to make a billion? Go Manny! And please don't ever-ever-ever run for a public office. Be glad to you are a world class boxer with an honorary doctorate degree and a wonderful family. In the meantime please pay for Aling Dionisia's ballroom dancing lessons and get her a personal stylist. To Jinkee... naka-jackpot ka!

What's New(s)?

I have stopped watching the local news since 5 years ago. Why? First, the newscasters just go on and on with their spiel. The report is more of an entertainment. Second, the commercials and station breaks seem more important than the news itself because they are given more air time. Third, the news either saddens, depresses, or irritates me. The news, at times, are incredulous too.

I arrived home at 6:30 PM today. I immediately turned on the TV set in my bedroom. The TV was tuned to ABS-CBN news. Isang 10 taon gulang na batang babae ang ginahasa ng isang 45 taon jeepney driver. ( A 10-yrl old girl was raped by a 45 yr old jeepney driver). Okay that got my attention. I had to watch the news. The driver said it was as if he was possessed when he was doing the dirty deed. Possessed my *ss! The camera crew showed the jeep where the child was raped. The seats of the vehicle were folded and in the middle space was a mat and a pillow. The freaking driver had the presence of mind to bring a mat and a pillow for his dastardly act yet he said he was possessed. That news made me mad at the rapist and sad for the girl victim.

Next came the news that a certain popular male plastic surgeon has a pending case because his "penis-enlargement-operation" on a patient went haywire. I was not able to get the full story for Ethan came into my bedroom and started talking. What I last saw and heard was the doctor singing on TV with the newscaster telling the viewers to please buy the doctor's CD. Okay. That news was incredulous!

Next came the news regarding the oppositions leading senatorial line-up for 2010. At the helm were Erap ( former Philippine president Joseph Estrada) and Juan Ponce Enrile. The leading contenders are Jinggoy Estrada, Pia Cayetano, etc. There are talks that Erap might run for the presidency... again! Okay. That news made me laugh. These clowns never fail to tickle my funny bone.

I am more resolved to stop watching local news.

Of Botted Water and Organ Harvest

I received an e-mail today. The header says: Bottled Water Causes Cancer.

The note further said that bottled left in the car causes cancer as attested by Sheryl Crow at the Ellen Degeneres show. This has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels in breast cancer, especially in Australia, the e-mail said.

A doctor (don't know who) said that the heat and the plastic of the bottle have certain chemicals that can lead to breast cancer. The heat causes toxins from the plastic to leak into the water and they have found these toxins in breast tissue. The e-mail further encouraged to use a stainless steel canteen or a glass bottle when you can.

I do not know if this has a scientific basis or what. But those living in the Philippines need not worry about this. Why? Who the heck will drink a boiling-hot-bottled-water-left-in-the-car? Not me and maybe the rest of the Pinay population.

This morning I received an sms message from my sister-in-law informing me of this white van with plate number vmn 550 traipsing South of Manila (Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Las Pinas, Paranaque) abducting children 10 years old and below. Modus Operandi: to get the eyes, liver, kidney and other organs of these children. Organ Harvest Galore! I take a double HUH! WHAT! The sms message further stated that the organs are harvested right inside the van where surgeons sit still waiting for the next patient, err victim.

The story is reinforced by the tale of my hairdresser. She said (while snipping my curls with gusto) that her neighbor's 4 yr old child was abducted from school and has not been found yet. She added that the child of her neighbor's neighbor's friend was found with her guts wide open and some 15,000 pesos stuffed somewhere in between the 3rd and 4th ribs.

True or False? I do not know. What puzzles me though is who are these surgeons doing the harvesting? Who are the buyers of the organs? How can they (the evil ones) just randomly abduct these kids and get their organs without the required matching and whatever needs to be done for a transplant to be successful? Why aren't the authorities doing a massive manhunt of these wicked people?
