It's worrying, terrifying is more the word, that worldwide economy is taking a plunge. Banks are being acquired left and right by big financial conglomerates. Where are we going? -financially and economically speaking. Daughter #4, the soon-to-be economist, told me that a lot of local businesses are closing due to bankruptcy. Most bankruptcies, she said, are caused by mismanagement on the part of administrators and owners. I asked her if this Corporate Performance Management (cpm) is any good for local companies. She said, why not, as it's just a matter of studying metrics and key performance indicators to measure an organization's performance. I'd better check it out.
